My great love is sharing food and music with the people and community that I care for.
My great-grandmother Molly left Georgia after some questionable business decisions around a tobacco crop at the end of World War One. She was an independent woman who started a restaurant and ran it successfully through the great depression. Molly's daughter married a restaurant equipment salesman and their daughter married the son of a city restaurant inspector.
Although I've lived most of my life north of the Mason-Dixon, and my parents are a CPA and a teacher, it wouldn't be too wrong to say that I have roots in the South and the restaurant business runs in my blood.
Flavorful food, spicy music, outsider art, Ann Richards, Billy Bob Thornton, Austin City Limits, canoing on the Colorado River, sustainable living, walking to work.
